March 1980 Texas Adoptee Looking For Birthparents

I am a Texas adoptee who was born the week of spring 1980 at Polly Ryan Medical Center in Richmond, Texas. I believe that one or both of my birthparents were in the military, and both worked in restaurants. Birthmother was born in 1957 with two sisters 1960 and 1961. My birthparents were married in February 1979, and were married for six months. I had seizures at birth as well. I had a closed adoption with now Spaulding For Children based in Houston, Texas. My birthfather was born in 1958. Over the past few years I have had adoptee angels working to filter through public records looking for a possible connection. I have had names checked as if I knew who they were, then I could receive my original birth certificate from the state. The names that I have right now that have not been checked are as follows:

Birthmother: Darlene Kay (Bennett) Peters
Birthfather: Douglas R. Whitehead

They should still be somewhere near Richmond, Texas today!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Saying Hello

>> Monday, June 20, 2011

Hello everyone! I thought that I would drop in to say hello to all since I was at my grandmother's house. I have really missed blogging in the last year, so the few times that I get to come over here I try to get a few words in. The boys are doing great! Little Eddie made the A honor roll for the fourth grade, and Devin made the A/B honor roll. Also, Eddie had the highest average for Spelling and Math. He will be in the fifth grade next year and Devin will be in the third. They will also be going to the same school again. I am planning to go to college this year, and will probably do medical laboratory technician. My husband is also planning to go back and get his computer networking degree. The programming degree is not used much down here and those jobs are pretty much taken. I am hoping that I will do ok since I haven't been in school since 1999. I had thought about doing transcription or billing, but I think that it would be easier for me to get a job doing laboratory work. Well, I am supposed to be helping, so I guess that I will be going. It was nice to sit for a minute to tell you all hello. Hope you and your families are doing well. Talk to all again soon. Love your children for me and happy reading!!

My name is Jenna and I came across your site. Your boys are fighters, and inspirational hero's. That is so awesome that Eddie did so well in school last year. Are the boys enjoying school this year so far? I was born with a rare life threatening disease, 12 other diagnosis, and developmental delays. I love it when people sign my guestbook.
