Locals Objections To Autism Centre
>> Monday, February 2, 2009
Plans by the Irish Society for Autism to build a residential center for school-leavers with autism near Tralee, Co Kerry, have been appealed to An Bord Pleanála by local residents. I have always thought that places like these would be greatly needed due to more and more autism cases around the world. It is sad to know that some just don't understand the good things about it, and end up not opening their eyes to the needed. The Tralee centre would be the fifth residential unit in the country, and the chief executive of the society has said many more such centres would be needed to cater for the dramatic increase in the number of children with autism over the past decade. The article is here.
