UK Autism Foundation To Request GOP To Act

Poverty and autism in the United Kingdom has led to the decision of the UK Autism Foundation to request that the GOP act on Autism Awareness Day, April 2, 2009. Something I can relate to. I wouldn't say we were rich either, and these days, poverty is becoming more common due to the economic state of the entire world. Such sad time that we have to go through something like that.

The UK Autism Foundation is also appealing to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the UN General Assembly to take action on Poverty and Autism. The credit crunch and the deepening global economic recession has placed huge pressure on families and adults with autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
