>> Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Judge uphold the suspension with the case of Wendy Portillo out of Florida. She is currently under unpaid suspension from the school after she allowed students to vote an autistic child out of the classroom. Here is the videos of her testimony.

Here is her "vote-out" incident.

The mother of Alex Barton has told me that she has created a website for his justice. She was really pleased at the justice he was receiving on my blog, and I hope that you will visit there as well.

Wendy Portillo Requests Payment

>> Saturday, March 7, 2009

Wendy Portillo, left, was released from her school duties when she allowed the kindergarten class at Morningside Elementary school in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Alex Barton,5, was in the process of being examined and then diagnosed with a form of autism when the incident occurred on May 21, 2008. She is now trying to get back her suspension pay and her job back. She has been suspended for one year without pay. In the article, Portillo's lawyer David Walker of Stuart says, "the record may show “some proof” of Portillo’s misconduct, but the evidence is “insufficient” to warrant the unpaid suspension." The article is from WPTV a local news station in West Palm Beach Florida.

She has decided to appeal that decision on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009. She admits that she did wrong, but now it is time for justice for the little boy whose teacher mad a bad decision. The MSNBC article tells all. Guess we will see what will happen. We just have to pay for the mistakes that we make in life, and learn from what we have done as human beings. Live, Grow, and Learn.

More On Teacher Subspended

>> Tuesday, February 3, 2009

I'm not feeling to well today. I just got out of the dentist and having a wisdom tooth pulled. I'm happy about that one. I wanted to share this article with you as an update on this story. There is more to what went on in the article. How could a teacher do this to a little child who is just a little different from others. Things like this really boil by blood, and I hate that the family is having to go through this in their school district. Happy reading and I'll be around... sorry I'm not feeling to well.

Wendy Portillo Wants Suspention Overturned Due To Autism Incident

>> Monday, February 2, 2009

Reading along I found a women who let her kindergarten class decide on if or if not an autistic child should be or not to be removed from class. She is from Port St. Lucie, Florida. The St. Lucie County school board voted in November to suspend Morningside Elementary School teacher Wendy Portillo for a year without pay because the child has Asperger's Syndrome. There are two previous articles also from this one that I came across. It is a sad situation and I agree with his mom. It's not right to have a teacher let the students of a kindergarten class to choose the outcome of this little boy.
