Balsamic Vinegar Could Be Culprit In Behavior Disorders
>> Tuesday, December 8, 2009
I came across an article about balsamic vinegar containing high levels of lead, and I thought that I would share it with you.
It is said that vinegars (particularly grapes) that have been aged contain high levels of lead could be the reason for many childhood behavior disorders including ADHD cases. However, not all vinegars contain lead. Some toxicologists and others, however, oppose the idea that lead contamination is due to soil conditions instead of production and storage as the problem. Testing has shown that the highest levels were the one in wooden barrels that have been aged. Some producers are labeling their products to ensure the lowest amount of lead in their products.
